Horchata de Arroz Recipe






Ingredients:

1 cup long grain white rice

2 cups water

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup sugar

2 cups cold water

1 can evaporated milk

1/2 cup diced canaloupe

2 tbsp of slivered almonds

Method

1. Soak the rice in 2 cups of water for an hour.

2. Place the rice and its soaking water in a blender, along with vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar. Blend the mixture for 1 minute and then pulse for another 40 seconds.

3. Strain into a pitcher. Add 2 cups of cold water, the evaporated milk, diced canaloupe, and chopped almonds.

4. Stir well and serve over ice.
